So beautiful Save the Dates, invitations, etc!

The brochure has an inner pocket to hold the invitation and rsvp ‘roll call’ postcard, which is so cool!

The brochure also doubles as a map and driving/hotel information!

Created by Lydia Nichols, an east-coast based illustrator and dabbler in design and typography.

“A mask plays two roles. First, it shares its story with you, the viewer. Secondly, it conceals the wearer often to the point where you forget they even exist. Masks are full of meaning that fall into two main outlets: the symbolism them convey, and the messages you interpret. In this posters we find all of this and more as illustrator and designer come together to create beautifully printed pieces that a susceptible to admiration.” — BRYONY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

“We collaborated with illustrator and designer Jonny Wan on this charity print project.

Jonny says: I’ve always found the idea of masks interesting, throughout the ages people of different cultures and eras have used masks in one way or another. Whether it’s to intimidate enemies in war or entice audiences in theaters, masks have been used to create anonymity for the wearer and present a “second self” to the viewer. Anyone who knows me or my work knows that I take great influence from the visual aesthetics of ancient cultures and this project for Print for Good provided the perfect platform to express this creatively.

Initially I did a little research into masks and found that every mask ever created can be categorized into four dominating categories, these being Ritual, Protection, Performance and Fashion. I then decided to pick a mask representing these aspects from varying time periods. What was brilliant about this project was that I was given the opportunity to create something memorable and tactile using varying stocks and print finishes, all made possible by the kind folk at GFSmith, and letterpress maestro Phil Chrisp. Taking advantage of this the stocks and print finishes were carefully chosen to reflect the nature of the masks and their aesthetics, I couldn’t have wished for a better end result.”
